In my life, I have come across many happy occasions but the birthday of my sister is one of the events I celebrate with great pomp and show. Her birthday falls in the month of July and every year I organize a party for her. This year, the occasion was extra special as she graduated just two days
before her birthday. So, I had to plan something extraordinary. I kept the party a secret and booked a banquet hall in a nearby restaurant. My younger brother and I went to the booked restaurant a day before the celebration. We had some ideas in our mind that we shared with the owner and he gave us the access to the hall for implementing the ideas. We decorated the hall with red and white balloons. To make it more striking, I got some pictures printed and hung them on the ceiling with the help of ribbons.I designed a customized backdrop for clicking pictures. I took help of some net duppttas and festive lights. I also bought some tags and sash with some slogans like birthday queen, drama girl and many more. Now it was time to find the perfect cake for the event and for this I hired a freelance baker and asked her to bake a cake in the shape of a Graduation Cap that people get on graduation day. She agreed to deliver us the cake on time. The next day, none of us wished her for the birthday and we all went out making lame excuses. Then, in the evening, my uncle brought her to the party venue blindfolded and when she opened her eyes, there was a look of astonishment in her eyes and tears of joy. She was elated to see all the decoration and cake. She hugged me and kissed me on the forehead. I can never forget the look on her face. We all enjoyed the event as we sang and dance all night. It was certainly a memorable event and I got a lot of appreciation for the preparations I had done.
