IELTS Cue Card- A Place Where You Read Apart From Home

Describe A Place Where You Read and Write Apart From Home

  • What is it?
  • Where is it?
  • Why do you go there to read and write?
Being occupied with work, I hardly manage time to read and write though I have a zeal to read books and magazines. To satiate my urge to read, I recently took membership of a public library located in the centre of the city for easy accessibility. The library is run by Central University of Punjab and it can accommodate around 500 people at a time. It stores 10,000 books on different subjects and genres but I mainly read books on history, gk and religion. At the entrance of the main building, a gigantic rack is placed with all the daily and monthly magazines along with newspapers. The seating area is furnished with comfortable chairs and tables. For undisturbed reading, a sound-proof cabin has been constructed and people can avail its benefits at some additional cost. The reading area is well-lit with LED lights. Moreover, the staff members pay a great attention to the maintenance of the books and other things. I like to study there as it provides a peaceful ambiance required for uninterrupted concentration. Secondly, the place is close to my home and it takes me around 5 mins to read there. I really appreciate the authorities for such a valuable and useful public library.
