Describe a Person Whose Job is Important to the Society or Describe Someone Who is Professional in His/her Job

  • Who is this person?
  • What job does he do?
  • How do you know this person?
  • Explain why his job is important to the society
Any type of work,  no matter how menial or hard it is, requires a certain set of skills and diligence to perform but there are certain professions that are directly benefiting the society, teaching is one of them.  Here, I am going to talk about Mr.Amit who is not only an extremely professional teacher but also a distinguished one.   He lives in Ludhiana and he worked as a lecturer in one of the renowned colleges of the city.  He is my childhood friend and I knew him really well.  Once he saw some homeless children begging on roads. He was moved to see their miserable condition and he realized that the situation could only be alleviated by educating these unprivileged kids. So, he started an evening school for them that goes by the name “UPAY”. Initially, he had only five kids as the street dwellers were reluctant to study but Amit’s constant efforts and perseverance paid off.  He was able to get 30 students in his school. He teaches them all the basic subjects like Maths, Science, English. Along with that practical computer classes are also conducted. On weekends, he arranges music and dance lessons for these kids. In this way he is focusing on the holistic development of the kids.  I see his diligence and professionalism in his work as he never takes a leave, maintains attendance registers, keeps an eye on the hygiene of the children. I think his job is important for the society as he is building future of unfortunate and disregarded strata of the society.
